Padma Vibhushan

After the Bharat Ratna, the Padma Vibhushan ("Lotus Decoration") is the Republic of India's second-highest civilian honor. The medal, which was established on January 2, 1954, is granted for "extraordinary and outstanding service." Tendulkar received India’s second-highest civilian honor in May 2008.
