Proper nutrition with nutritious foods
A balanced diet rich in nutrients (the required amount of calcium) and vitamins (especially vitamin D) will help your body improve and grow. Calcium helps bones grow while Vitamin D stimulates bone and muscle growth. A healthy diet should have plenty of vegetables, fruits, protein, and carbohydrates. Milk, lean meat, vegetables and nuts should always be in your meals.
The Korean diet emphasizes protein from lean meats, fish, soy and dairy; Limit starchy foods, sweets, processed foods high in fat. Since the early 20th century, Koreans have had the habit of dividing meals into small bowls - called banchan. Accordingly, a Korean meal usually has dozens of small bowls containing these different foods. Although "miserable washing dishes", the effect of this way of eating is to have a balanced and varied nutritional diet. In particular, most Banchans are fermented foods (kimchi, garlic, salt, chili) or Namul - vegetables and roots soaked in water and mixed with spices. Banchan dishes are low in fat, frugal, rich in plant-based nutrients and are very healthy. This style helps Koreans to diversify their nutrition, not just focus on eating starch. Korean children, therefore, have been fully absorbed from an early age with all kinds of nutrients, without falling into an imbalanced state in the process of growing up.
