Riga Technical University
Riga Technical University (RTU) (Latvian: Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte is the Baltic countries' oldest technical university, founded on October 14, 1862. It was previously known as Riga Polytechnical Institute and Riga Polytechnicum and is located in Riga, Latvia.
RTU announced in March 2017 that it had won first place among Latvian universities in the international U-Multirank rating. RTU graduates have the highest rate of employment (at the A level). The university received the same evaluation for bachelor's programs in English, self-created or spin-off companies, the post-doctoral study process, and scientific creativity.
RTU is also the highest rated Latvian higher education institution in the 2020 Sustainability Assessment, which evaluates universities' performance in sustainable development. rank among the best universities in the world RTU received the highest rating in the category "Planet protection" - in 2020, RTU was ranked 14th in the world in this field.
