Rosebud American Kitchen

Modern American cuisine is served in the down-to-earth Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar. A defining Davis Square neighborhood restaurant, Rosebud provides patrons from all walks of life with a laid-back dining experience in a relaxed setting. The menu at Rosebud is built on the principles of honest food and drinks. While all four corners of the country are represented in the dishes, Rosebud American Kitchen & Bar also skillfully combines a variety of exotic flavors from around the world to keep diners' palates intrigued.

Old is new, and new is really exciting. The Davis Square landmark has been serving late-night pies and pancakes to college students for decades. It underwent a significant overhaul in 2014 and reemerged as a fine-dining establishment with a legitimate craft cocktail program. Where there used to be omelettes, there are now Thai sticky ribs and seared salmon from the Faroe Islands; comfort food like mac & cheese and fried chicken pleases more basic palates. There are still wonderful, seasonally appropriate pies that may be ordered a la mode or taken to go, and drinks like the sidecar pay homage to the diner's past. The façade is also unaltered, including a completely restored 1941 Worcester lunch vehicle with neon signage shining above, while the interior has been extensively gutted.
