Rurouni Kenshin

In Kyoto, 140 years ago, the arrival of the American "Black Ships" marked the emergence of a formidable warrior, notorious as the Hitokiri or "man slayer," who wielded a bloodstained blade to shape the turbulent Bakumatsu era and pave the way for the progressive Meiji age. Eventually fading into legend, this enigmatic figure vanished from the scene.

A decade later, the course of fate intertwines with a young woman whose life is spared by a mysterious wandering swordsman named Kenshin. Despite his guarded past, the woman welcomes Kenshin into her dojo, and an enduring friendship blossoms.

As they navigate the complexities of life together, forging both alliances and adversaries, Kenshin is inevitably confronted by the shadows of his history. With the passage of time, he, along with newfound companions, must confront the ghosts of his past to secure a future for those he holds dear.
