Sejerø
Sejerø is a small island in Kattegat, about five kilometers west of Zealand, located in Sejerø Bay (Sejerøbugten). The island is only 7.5 miles long by 1.25 miles wide. It is one of the largest of Denmark's "little islands." There is lovely nature, great beaches, and some breathtaking historical sites to visit.
Sejerø is one of the places in Denmark that has the greatest hours of sunshine, making it a perfect summer vacation destination - especially if you want to spend your vacation in peace. There are various burial mounds and monoliths on the island, as well as exquisite frescoes in the island's church, which was built around 1300.
In Sejerby, you may rent bicycles. Because the roads are tiny, keep a watch out for local hens and dogs. Gniben Lighthouse is a must-see; the vista is breathtaking. You will feel as if you are standing "in the middle of geography" — the information board gives you the directions and names of the islands and provinces on the horizon.
