Shane Edward Bond (born 7 June 1975) is a former cricketer and current bowling coach for the Mumbai Indians. He has been dubbed "New Zealand's finest fast bowler since Sir Richard Hadlee." He played Test, ODI, and Twenty20 International cricket for New Zealand, as well as domestic cricket for Canterbury in New Zealand and Warwickshire in England. He was a right-arm fast bowler who bowled at a top speed of 156.4 km/h against India in the 2003 World Cup. As a result of his great pace, he is ranked 10th among the all-time quickest cricket bowlers. Bond, behind George Lohmann, has the second best bowling strike rate in Test match cricket history (among bowlers who have bowled a minimum of 2,500 deliveries).
