Spiaggia Di Nelson
Spiaggia Di Nelson Beach is a quiet and sheltered sand arch, about 80 meters long, set among granite cliffs and surrounded by lush Mediterranean blue, behind almost reaching the shore. A voluptuous landscape stands out ahead, from the turquoise-green sea with the western reflection of the island of Santo Stefano jutting into the horizon. Turn your eyes to the left, and you will see the southwest coast of the island of La Maddalena. The 'Nelson' sand has a characteristic amber color, with medium-fine grains, accompanied by rounded rocks by wind smoothing action. The transparency of the water makes the beach an ideal destination for scuba diving enthusiasts.
The coast lies on the stretch of the Palaese coast extending as far as Punta Sardinia. To the north of the beach, you'll first encounter the picturesque village of Porto Rafael, a tourist village that develops around a small square made up of white houses and colorful gardens.
However, south of Nelson, a deep bay is home to La Sciumara, the 'mouth' in Gallura, characterized by cream-colored sand, a forest of holm oaks and Mediterranean shrubs behind it, and the mouth of the river at the right edge. To the east, you will enjoy the 'Nordic' landscape of Porto Faro and less than three kilometers from the town of Palau, the country's natural symbol, the symbol of the country. In the direction of Santa Teresa Gallura, don't miss s'Isisedda or Isola dei Gabbiani, actually a peninsula connected by a stretch of white sand, flanked by the beaches of Porto Pollo and Arenaria, surfers' paradise kitesurfing and windsurfing.
