Sportello, a fine-dining establishment in Boston's Fort Point district, is arguably the most affordable in terms of costs and atmosphere while still showcasing Barbara Lynch's distinctive charm. With a small open kitchen, counter seating, and a menu of delectable pastas and other dishes, this minimalist dinner meets trattoria. Oh, and that hot tomato soup.

The space's sleek, minimalist architecture perfectly captures Sportello's laid-back, vivacious Italian attitude. With two "U"-shaped counters positioned around an open kitchen, Sportello offers a modern take on a diner. At one of our tables in the dining room, savor a bowl of fresh pasta and a glass of wine from our approachable, artisanal wine list. Sportello offers an entertaining and distinctive setting for gatherings, whether you're organizing a great rehearsal dinner or a get-together with friends. Sportello does not have a private area, but it is possible to rent the entire establishment for parties of up to 55 people for a standing reception or 50 people for a seated supper.
