Stari Ulcinj
Stari Ulcinj is a small rocky island in the Ulcinj Municipality with an area of 1.8 hectares, considerably smaller than Ada Bojana, the other island in the Ulcinj Municipality.
Ruins of the island Stari Ulcinj are the remnants of old Ulcinj, the Venetian city of Dolcigno, which was inundated after the earthquake. According to archeological evidence, it was a Venetian tower - a stronghold - built on the outskirts of Ulcinj with the purpose of warning people about impending perils. This explains the architectural techniques' resemblance to Dulsino-era Venetian structures.
The island is only accessible by boat.
