Sveti Nikola Island
Sveti Nikola Island is located in the Adriatic Sea, in the municipality of Budva, Montenegro.
Sveti Nikola Island is located 1 kilometer from Budva's ancient town, directly across from the town of Budva. The island is 2 kilometers long and measures 36 hectares in size. The island's highest point is a cliff that reaches 121 meters above sea level.
In the Budva area, the island is a popular excursion destination. There are three larger sandy beaches with a total length of 840 meters, as well as other little beaches scattered across the island that can only be reached by boat.
The uncultivated area of the island is home to deer. Locals refer to the island as kolj, which originates from the Italian scoglio or the Venetian scogio, both of which imply islet or reef.
