Survivor - Destiny's Child
Destiny's Child's third studio album, Survivor, is their third studio album. Columbia Records released it on April 25, 2001. Beyoncé Knowles and J.R. Rotem produced the album, with Poke & Tone, Cory Rooney, and Mark J. Feist contributing additional production. "Independent Women Part I," "Survivor," "Bootylicious," a rendition of The Bee Gees' "Emotion," and "Nasty Girl" are the album's five hits.
The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 list in the United States on May 19, 2001, with first-week sales of 663,000 copies, and remained there for two weeks. Destiny's Child was nominated for two Grammy Awards: Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best R&B Album. On January 7, 2002, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified Survivor triple platinum. Survivor was placed number 70 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums of the Decade list. The album has sold over 12 million copies worldwide and over 4.7 million copies in the United States.
