Terra Chips
Terra Chips was founded by two New York City chefs, Dana Sinkler and Alex Dzieduszycki, in their Manhattan apartment. After working in four-star restaurants, the partners decided to start their own catering company and make the chips their signature appetizer. In 1990, they saw that chips were all the rage, and their product was born. They soon relocated to a Brooklyn facility. In July of 1998, Hain bought Terra from its founders.
Terra Chips was founded over 20 years ago by two forward-thinking New York chefs and does an excellent job of obtaining additional root vegetables outside the conventional potato, including exceptionally nutritious options like beets, turnips, sweet potatoes, and carrots, according to Healthline. People were hooked on the bright tastes and exquisite crunch that come from acquiring distinct and different root veggies from a select number of farmers from the start.
While customers have grown to love all Terra products over the years, the Original real vegetable chips (a blend of a parsnip, taro, sweet potato, yuca, and batata) remain a fan favorite. They have exactly the right amount of crunch and salt, with a hint of sweetness. However, the gold standard vegetable chip faces competition from the Blues potato chips, which are more purple in color, but they will not disappoint.
