The Chef's Table: France

Chef's Table aired on April 26, 2015, and is one of the first original Netflix documentary series. The series gives viewers an inside look at the lives and kitchens of some of the world's most renowned and successful international chefs, with each episode focusing on a single chef and exploring their unique lives, abilities, and hobbies that impact their cooking approach. On May 20, 2019, the highly praised sitcom was renewed for a seventh and eighth season after receiving several nominations and awards, including eight Emmy nominations/awards.

Each episode of the series focuses on a different chef and delves into their own views and culinary methods. It is considered a sequel to David Gelb's documentary Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Rather than actual television, both documentaries use cinematography and production techniques from classic filmmaking.
