The Churchill Arms - Notting Hill
The Churchill Arms is a pub in Notting Hill, London, located at 119 Kensington Church Street, on the corner of Campden Street. There has been a pub on the site since at least the late 1800s. Previously called the "Church-on-the-Hil", the tavern got its current name after War. It has been hailed as London's most colorful bar because of its exuberant floral displays and elaborate Christmas displays throughout the winter. The Churchill Arms claims to be the first London bar to feature a Thai restaurant, serving Thai cuisine from the early 1990s or earlier. The Thai restaurant is beautifully furnished with fresh flowers and plants.
While the flowers attract photos, it's the pub's spicy kaeng par curries and delicate pad siew noodles that have customers returning for more. You can just have drinks in the pub section, which is decorated with war memorabilia and is extremely cool and eccentric.
