  1. Step into London's greatest Secret Garden, which includes Exclusive Dining Pods and a Pop-up Summer Beach. Tucked away in Kensington's back streets, enter into a setting so peaceful that it's easy to forget you're still in Central London. Located at the back of the Crowne Plaza, just a few minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station, this outdoor area contains private pods. Each pod is named after a late great singer - there are Prince, David Bowie, and Aretha Franklin pods - and can be booked, resulting in a private Thai lunch for you and your guests in a secret spot that feels less metropolitan than London and more countryside.

The food is seriously good here. There are two tasting menus available, must try the six-course menu which came with crisp salt and pepper squid and chicken skewers to start before moving on to Beef Rendang, steamed sea bass (which was so fresh), and the most flavorsome Coconut prawns, cooked in a rich sauce and served with jasmine rice.

  2. Patara London South Kensington just received the Diner's Choice Award (2019) from Open Table for its artistic cuisine filled with authentic Thai dishes. Patara, which translates as gracious lady, is named after Khun Patara Sila-On, a restaurateur who has brought her warmth and generosity of spirit to the Patara restaurant group for the past 30 years, overseeing the opening of restaurants in London, Switzerland, Austria, and Singapore, as well as her native Thailand.

The Thai food served here is delicious. Begin your evening with a plate of handcrafted, flower-shaped dumplings, then go on to a bowl of rich coconut-braised beef seasoned with lime, mint, and lemongrass, and a warm, soft-centered chocolate pudding topped with Madagascan vanilla ice cream. The restaurants' design reflects the food, mixing the traditional with the modern. Modern dark wood interiors, a neutral color palette, and brushed stone floors are just a few of the features. Traditional Thai designs, ranging from subtle wall-mounted sculptures to an outstanding miniature temple, make you feel like you're in the real Thai.

  3. Maries Cafe-Waterloo is a Thai restaurant that also offers typical English breakfast at reasonable costs. It's well-known for giving out inexpensive and generous portions, making it a popular restaurant in Waterloo, London. Maries is a fiery Thai kitchen as well as an old-school English cafe.

Whatever traditional you're craving - baked beans, Puk Choop (battered veggies), spring rolls, or jungle curry - Marie's has it covered, but Waterloo's treasured jewel has a limited drink menu, including a refreshing "Marie- Made" Thai Ice Tea. The restaurant is quite small, simple, and cozy on the inside with the decor flanked by a nasty retro green-painted shopfront that has somehow remained unchanged for decades. Moreover, you'll find it pleasant and warm because the staff is polite and eager to help.

  4. The Churchill Arms is a pub in Notting Hill, London, located at 119 Kensington Church Street, on the corner of Campden Street. There has been a pub on the site since at least the late 1800s. Previously called the "Church-on-the-Hil", the tavern got its current name after War. It has been hailed as London's most colorful bar because of its exuberant floral displays and elaborate Christmas displays throughout the winter. The Churchill Arms claims to be the first London bar to feature a Thai restaurant, serving Thai cuisine from the early 1990s or earlier. The Thai restaurant is beautifully furnished with fresh flowers and plants.

While the flowers attract photos, it's the pub's spicy kaeng par curries and delicate pad siew noodles that have customers returning for more. You can just have drinks in the pub section, which is decorated with war memorabilia and is extremely cool and eccentric.

  5. Almost all enjoy being in on a secret, such as those neighborhood restaurants that appear inconspicuous from the outside yet serve up the city-class fare on the inside. The truth is, secrets can be difficult to preserve, especially if they have been around for a few decades. That's why Singburi, a modest family-run Thai café on a drab stretch of Leytonstone High Road, is always packed to the rafters.

Glitz and glamour aren't on the menu, but the great food is what keeps customers coming back. Despite its popularity, the pricing is reasonable, making it ideal for economical eaters with large appetites. Among the dishes available are "Nok Gradta Tod" (crispy quail), "Gang Om Bai Yor" (curry of monkfish cheeks and Bai Yor leaf), and "Nam Ngiaw" (crispy quail) (northern pork rib and tomato soup)

  6. The Begging Bowl officially opened its doors in 2012, serving up heady, authentic Thai tastes sourced directly from Bangkok grocers, as well as fresh fish and meat from local vendors. The Begging Bowl has become a part of the community in Peckham, sitting on a prime corner plot with a magnificent open terrace, and they're happy to have established a pleasant, dynamic space where people come regularly to enjoy fantastic food and homely service.

When you visit the restaurant, you will be treated to colorful and complex flavors that balance the distinctive Thai taste pallet of hot, sour, sweet, and salty. In the kitchens, every detail is considered, and every component is made by hand. A "Kaffir Sour" with kaffir lime-infused gin created on-site with lemongrass, lime, and their own kaffir bitters and a "Thai Sabai" with lime, sugar, basil, basil bitters (also made on-site) and Mekong Thai Spirit are on the menu.

  7. This lovely, well-loved pub is tucked away on the green street of Perth Road, tucked behind Finsbury Park. The Faltering Fullback is as warm and welcoming as they come, and it's the ideal spot to relax inside on a sunny or rainy Sunday afternoon. This north London bar offers a multi-layered beer garden, giant screens displaying live sports, weekly acoustic gigs, quiz nights, and open mic sessions, as well as weekly acoustic performances, quiz nights, and open mic sessions.

Furthermore, the north London institution offers a fantastic beer selection, a big screen for sporting events, and a lovely Thai beer garden in the back for the summer. It may have previously made Time Out's top ten pubs list, but it's the pub's pad Thai that really piques their curiosity. Try the pub's Naa Pad Pring stir-fried beef with chili and onions with an ice-cold pint of beer. It really is a perfect combination.

  8. Farang - Sebby Holmes and the team's original Thai cuisine, presenting the best fresh Thai and British products. In 2016, after returning home from his global travels, Holmes opened a restaurant in his stepfather's Italian restaurant. Since then, his passion project has earned a spot on the National Restaurant Awards Top 100, a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation, and, most crucially, the Thai Embassy's Select Award mark of approval.

When you visit, you must taste the crispy Cornish cod spring roll and the "Yum Têh Gatti Crispy" (without the duck egg, if you're a vegetarian). As for the drinks, a Lucky Buddha beer or a bottle of Thailand's own Monsoon Valley Shiraz Rosé should suffice.

  9. Kiln is the creation of chef and restaurateur Ben Chapman, who is also the man behind the popular Thai eatery Smoking Goat in Shoreditch. The menu here, like its sibling, focuses on stir-fried fries, curries, and barbecue foods cooked over open flames, emphasizing dishes from a grill, seafood, and clay pot. The menu is also updated on a regular basis, with the selection changing based on what produce is in season at the time. Kiln is open for lunch and supper, and dishes such as slow-grilled grilled chicken and soy, Tamworth pork belly curry with Kapi, and wild ginger and beef neck curry with Burmese roots can be found there

Kiln does not provide desserts, but it provides a wonderfully wonderful drink menu. Pair your meal with a glass of wine from Kiln's European-leaning wine selection, or try one of its house-made cocktails that experiment with fermentation and pickling. Competitive pricing on both drinks and food is another plus.

  10. If you're planning a trip to south London, Kao Sarn is a must-see. Over the recent year, this family-run business has dominated the restaurant scene in Tooting and Clapham, and for good reason. The Kaosarn family is one huge family that has been raised with love and the best Thai cuisine.

The wonderful street food restaurant, directed by head chef Nucharin Lapakulchai, strives to bring the charm of Bangkok's markets to guests through meals that include part of rich heritage in the form of delicious curries, excellent stir-fried fries, and famous soups. You must try the "Kha Na Mu Krob" (a stir-fried vegetable dish with crispy pig belly over rice) and the "Boat Noodle Soup" when you visit.
