The Classic

Son Ye-jin plays Joo-hee, the mother, and Ji-hye, the daughter, in two separate timeframes, and their individual forays into love and relationships. As Ji-hye reads her mother's letters and reflects on her own love and relationship experiences from decades ago, she encounters similar occurrences that happen to her under the same circumstances and in similar places.

While the outcomes differ, everything leads to the same conclusion: Ji-hye falls in love with Joon- ha's son, and Joon-ha is Joo hee's ex-lover. "The Classic", a convoluted yet sympathetic story of intertwining love stories, boasts great performances (particularly that of Son Ye-jin in dual parts) and an unforgettable experience.
