The Most Beautiful Sunset In The World – Zadar
Zadar, like many other Croatian cities, has a long and illustrious history. According to legend, a settlement in what is now Zadar was first mentioned in writing 3.000 years ago! Its history, however, was not only rich, but also turbulent.
Zadar was involved in numerous wars and was even sacked by a crusading army during the Fourth Crusade. The strange thing is that it happened despite the fact that Zadar is a Christian city. With such a history, it's no surprise they had a robust defense system. That system is now listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List!
But let us return to its natural splendors. Why does Zadar have the world's most beautiful sunset, and if so, who granted that title? “Greeting to the Sun” is, infact, one of a few interesting attractions in Zadar. It's a cutting-edge installation made up of 300 solar panels. They form a 22-meter-diameter circle that glows in the dark during the night. It is directly across the street from the Sea Organ. Yes, you read that correctly.
Because this Organ is located in the sea, when the sea waves splash it, it creates a haunting and unique piece of music. Aside from the contemporary installations, there are numerous historic monuments. And believe me when I say there are a LOT of old churches. Zadar, on the other hand, has some palaces, museums, lovely squares, and even a sphinx!
