The Neretva Valley

From Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia, the Neretva Valley flows. There are three cities (Metkovi, Opuzen, and Ploe) and a few municipalities (Slivno, Kula Norinska, Zaablje, and Pojezerje) on the Croatian side. They are all rich in natural beauty and delicious food. Aside from that, this location offers an incredible blend of river and Adriatic sea life. It's a unique experience that can only be had here.

Aside from all of that, the valley is steeped in history. As a result, the ancient city of Narona can be found here. An in situ museum was built in its place, centered on the archeological findings. All of the finds, including 17 statues, are contained and preserved in this manner. Neretva also offers amateur sports manifestation named “Maraton lađa” which is a race of traditional boats from Neretva where all the competing teams row on a 22.5-kilometer track. (Almost 14 miles).

In addition to “Maraton lađa”, the street art festival “Zen Opuzen” is warly welcomed by everyone. Many also come to the kite surfing and party haven – locals call the beach on the mouth of the Neretva “ušće”.

Blace, situated in the Slivno municipality, is a great place to stay while you’re visiting Neretva. With natural beauties and many old churches and historical landmarks. Slivno also has plenty to offer.

Let's stay at Apartments Galeb when you do come to Blace. The three-star, two-bedroom apartments are cozy and fully equipped. All apartments here oversee a gorgeous view of the Adriatic.
