The Ritual

The Ritual is a horror film directed by David Bruckner and written by Joe Barton that was released in 2017. The film is based on Adam Nevill's novel The Ritual, which was published in 2011. The Ritual had its world premiere in September 2017 at the Toronto International Film Festival, where Netflix bought the international distribution rights for $4.75 million.

The story begins when five friends - Phil, Dom, Hutch, Luke, and Rob come together to pay their tribute to their dead friend, they decide to stroll through the woods. However, they quickly become lost in the deep forest and inadvertently begin to drift in the direction of a terrible old spirit that has been lurking in that section of the forest for centuries. The haunting witch-like monster will undoubtedly give you the chills.
