Twitches

Twitches is a Disney Channel original film from 2005, based on the Scholastic Press Twitches book series. Twitches Too, a sequel, premiered on Disney Channel's Hauntober Fest on October 12, 2007.

The plot follows twin sister witches who were separated as children meet on their 21st birthday and discover their magical skills. They also have to deal with an evil spirit in order to protect their mother and homeland from dark members. Special effects were used in combination with green screens to help recreate the magic tricks exhibited throughout the film, such as the transitions between Earth and Coventry, the moon and sun being placed on the same horizon, and the depiction of the Darkness' presence using a wind machine.
