The Ritz

Despite being the embodiment of old-school grandeur, The Ritz's restaurant continues to lead the charge with inventive and ingenious haute cuisine. The kitchen, led by head chef John Williams, has one Michelin star, but industry insiders say it needs at least two more. With its Louis XVI-inspired décor, towering marble columns, and rows of chandeliers, the dining room is an experience in and of itself. An old-fashioned dress code maintains the illusion of luxury: gentlemen are expected to wear a jacket and tie at all times while at the restaurant.


Head chef Williams is a big fan of British produce and promotes it as much as he can. The Epicurean Menu, with seven courses, takes customers on a tour around the British Isles, from the Cornish moors to the Scottish Highlands. The service is especially noteworthy, with the employees upholding the highest levels of traditional traditions.
