The University of Porto (“Universidade de Porto”)

The University of Porto (“Universidade de Porto”) is the second largest Portuguese university in terms of student population. The Provisional Government of the First Portuguese Republic issued a proclamation on March 22, 1911, establishing the University of Porto. While the university's forerunners include the Nautical Academy, founded by King Joseph I in 1762, and the Drawing and Sketching Academy, founded by Queen Mary I in 1779, the university was to be primarily based on nineteenth-century higher education institutions, such as the Polytechnic Academy (1836–1911) and the Medical-Surgical Academy of Porto (1836–1911).

It is a cutting-edge institution for those who desire to push themselves in terms of scientific studies and research. Furthermore, the University of Porto provides a diverse range of courses. There are around 600 graduate and postgraduate programs taught there.

If you have the opportunity to study at The University of Porto (“Universidade de Porto”), you will be well prepared for the job market due to the high quality of their courses and the excellent services provided for professional integration. Currently, there are 14 faculties and a postgraduate business school at the university.
