Umm Al Namil Island

Umm al Namil is a Kuwaiti island in the Persian Gulf, located within Kuwait Bay. At its closest point, the island is 600 meters (2,000 ft) from Kuwait's mainland.

Because of the high quantity of ants discovered at its discovery, Umm Al Namil Island is also known as the "Mother of Ants." This island is a historian's dream, as the buildings and architecture are mostly undamaged and serve as witnesses to the Islamic and Bronze Age periods. Many locals enjoy travelling to Umm Al Namil Island to conduct some fishing because it is not too far away from the mainland. Don't miss this Island if you enjoy fishing and visiting ancient ruins.
