Université Mohamed Boudiaf de M'sila

Université Mohamed Boudiaf de M'sila was founded in 1985 as a multidisciplinary public institution and was elevated to the status of university in 2001. It is situated in Algeria's large town of M'sila. It now has over 36,000 students, 1,400 teachers, and 1260 technical and administrative personnel.

The Université Mohamed Boudiaf has seven faculties: the faculty of technology, the faculty of sciences, the faculty of mathematics and computer science, the faculty of law and political science, the faculty of economics, the faculty of letters and languages, and the faculty of humanities and social sciences.

There are also two national institutes: the Institute of Urban Techniques Management and the Institute of Science and Technology of Physical and Sports Activities.

It has a total of 23 research laboratories. Several research conventions have been established by the university in collaboration with academic institutions in France, Romania, Turkey, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. These are intended to promote scientific exchange and mobility among research professors, students, and academic staff.

The University or College Mohamed Boudiaf was named after the Algerian politician and founding member of the National Liberation Front, Mohamed Boudiaf (FLN). Before being assassinated in 1992, he joined the Algerian People's Party (APP) and became an important member of the Special Organization (OS).

M'Sila is a province (wilaya) in northern Algeria with a population of one million people and an area of 18,718 square kilometers, while its capital, also called M'sila, has a population of around 100,000.
