University of Montreal (UdeM)
The University of Montreal, or Université de Montréal, is a leading research university and one of North America's largest university complexes. It is affiliated with the HEC Montréal business school and the Polytechnique Montréal engineering school. UdeM is made up of fourteen faculties and departments, including environmental design, kinesiology, and arts and sciences. Several notable laboratories began at UdeM, including the world's leading research center for deep learning (MILA) and an immunology and cancer institute. The school is co-educational and has 34,335 undergraduate and 11,925 post-graduate students (excluding affiliated schools).
