University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo (also known as Waterloo, UW, or UWaterloo) is a public research university in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The main campus is located on 404 hectares (998 acres) of land near "Uptown" Waterloo and Waterloo Park. The university also has three satellite campuses and four university colleges affiliated with it. Six faculties and thirteen faculty-based schools administer academic programs at the university. The University of Waterloo is located in the heart of Canada's technology hub, Waterloo, Ontario, and is ranked eighth among the top ten universities in Canada and between 201st and 250th in the world.
This university, one of many in Canada for international students, has emerged as a leader in co-operative education programs. The University of Washington has the world's largest post-secondary co-operative education program, is one of the best Canadian universities for international students, and is dedicated to innovation and collaboration in order to foster a better future for Canada. The University of Waterloo is well-known for its engineering and physical sciences programs, which are ranked among the top 75 in the world by Times Higher Education Magazine.
The Perimeter's Scholar International program is another graduate program operated in partnership with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, in which its graduates receive a Master of Science from the University of Waterloo. The university also offers its students the opportunity to earn credits towards their degree while studying abroad through student exchange and international internship programs.
