University of Southern Denmark

The University of Southern Denmark is a Danish university with campuses in Southern Denmark and Zealand.

In collaboration with the Universities of Flensburg and Kiel, the university offers a number of collaborative programs. There are close ties with area companies and the international scientific community.

Odense University, the Southern Denmark School of Business and Engineering, and the South Jutland University Centre combined in 1998 to form the University of Southern Denmark. In 1998, the Southern Danish University Library was united with the university.

The university is administered by a board of nine members, with five members recruited from outside the university, one member appointed by the scientific staff, one member appointed by the administrative staff, and two members appointed by the students making up the majority of the board.

The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) is a national institution that consists of five faculties: Humanities, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Health Sciences, with 32 departments, 11 research institutes, and a university library. Southern Denmark University Library is also a part of the university.

Around 1,200 researchers work throughout the six campuses in Odense, Kolding, Esbjerg, Snderborg, Slagelse, and Copenhagen, with approximately 18,000 students enrolled. Humanities, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, and Health Sciences are the five faculties at the University of Southern Denmark. It comprises about 35 institutions, 30 research centers, and a well-stocked university library. The University of Southern Denmark is definitely one of the best universities in Denmark.
