Valley View University

The university is a private university having campuses in the Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Bono East regions of Ghana, respectively at Oyibi (Accra), Kumasi, and Techiman (Sunyani). It is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church's global network of over 100 academic institutions. It's part of the Seventh-day Adventist education system, which is the world's second biggest Christian school system.
The university is a co-educational Ghanaian institution that is nominally linked with the Christian-Adventist faith. It was formed in 1979. The goal of this Christian mission was to increase Ghana's literacy and education levels. Valley View University's admissions process is relatively selective, with admission rates ranging from 70 to 80 percent. In addition to international and exchange programs, the institution provides online and distance learning options.In 1997, the National Accreditation Board of Ghana gave it full accreditation, making it Ghana's first private university to achieve national accreditation.
