Victoria Carnival
The Seychelles Carnival also referred to as the Victorian Carnival, is a fantastically diverse and multicultural annual event in Seychelles. The Carnaval International de Victoria features a procession of multicolored floats and vibrant dancing displays, followed by a slew of carnival-themed activities and exhibitions aimed at promoting Creole culture and Seychelles' multinational diversity to attract international attention.
One of the interesting things about the Victoria Carnival is that it not only entertains a significant proportion of individuals from all over the world, but it also encourages visitors to learn about Seychelles culture. The Seychelles International Carnival of Victoria creates a strong connection between traditional carnival attractions and Seychelles' art, culture, history, and national heritage. Thus, the Seychelles Carnivals demonstrate pride in its own culture, as well as cultural and racial diversity, religious beliefs, and political allegiance.
Every year in October, this thrilling display takes place. The parade moves from the Seychelles National Library and passes the clock tower to the Bicentennial Monument at the end of Independence Avenue. The celebration is accessible to the public, however, it is recommended that you arrive early because Victoria becomes quite overcrowded on this day.
