West Virginia University
West Virginia Institution (WVU) is a public land-grant research university based in Morgantown, West Virginia. It also has campuses at West Virginia University Institute of Technology in Beckley, Potomac State College of West Virginia University in Keyser, and Charleston Area Medical Center, which serves as a second clinical site for the university's medical and dentistry schools. WVU Extension Service has offices in all 55 of West Virginia's counties and performs outreach.
Across 14 colleges and institutions, the Morgantown campus provides over 350 bachelor's, master's, doctoral, and professional degree programs.
Freshman Applicants from West Virginia must have a 2.0 GPA and either SAT super score of 990 out of 1600 or an ACT super score of 19 out of 36. Nonresidents must have a GPA of 2.5 and either a super SAT score of 1060 or an ACT score of 21. Admission standards for first-time students differ per college and program.
