White Gull Inn

In the bayside community of Fish Creek, there is a historic Bed & Breakfast Inn and Restaurant (which is available to the public). Since 1896, they've been providing unique lodging and award-winning cuisine. Rooms, apartments, and cottages have been tastefully remodeled and properly kept, with many including fireplaces and twin whirlpools. Traditional Door County fish boils using Lake Michigan whitefish are well-known. The general public is also provided breakfast, lunches, candlelit dinners, and fish boils.

The White Gull Inn, a bed & breakfast noted for its seasonal outdoor fish boil, is located less than a mile from two state parks on the Door County Peninsula. Boiling slices of fresh fish and red potatoes (with only a teaspoon of salt) outside in a huge pot over an open flame is a uniquely Door County custom. You won't find the practice anywhere in the state, let alone the county, but one mouthful of the delicate fish—and the accompanying Door County cherry pie—will have you hooked on Door County food.
