Xiaomi Corporation, also known as Xiaomi and doing business as Xiaomi Inc., is a Chinese company that designs and produces household goods, home appliances, and consumer electronics, as well as related software. The company is rated 338th and is the youngest company on the Fortune Global 500. It is the second-largest smartphone maker in the world, behind Samsung, and the majority of its products operate on the MIUI user interface, which is based on the Android operating system.
Lei Jun, a current multi-billionaire, and six senior partners launched Xiaomi in 2010 when he was 40 years old in Beijing. Lei developed both Kingsoft and Joyo.com, which he sold to Amazon in 2004 for $75 million. By 2014, Xiaomi held the largest market share of smartphones sold in China. Xiaomi introduced its first smartphone in August 2011. The business started out solely selling its goods online but eventually developed physical locations.
Xiaomi's market cap was $34.71 billion as of March 2023. By market cap, this places Xiaomi as the 490th most valuable firm in the world. The most recent financial reports from Xiaomi show that the company's current revenue (TTM) is $45.35 billion. The company generated $50.77 billion in revenue in 2021, an increase from $35.95 billion in 2020.
