  1. Varamon Beach (Varamobaden) is the longest lakeside beach in Sweden, stretching over 3 kilometers along Lake Vättern in Motala. However, what it lacks in length, it makes up for in width, with a raised promenade and various lawn sections somewhat compensating. Due to its proximity to the town, there is no shortage of amenities, including a variety of cafes and restaurants. It's an excellent area for families because the water is clean and shallow. It's especially safe because it's a lacke, and it's perfect for activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, and, of course, windsurfing.

Volleyball and football are accessible on the beach, as well as playgrounds, mini golf, and tennis, all of which are located behind the beach. This is a popular vacation location, with a variety of camp sites, guest homes, and hotels in the region. On the negative side, this means that it can get rather crowded during the summer, but the beach is long enough to absorb the crowds.

  2. The Baltic island of Gotland is around midway between Sweden and Latvia (approximately 100 kilometers / 60 miles). In addition to being Sweden's largest island, it is also home to many of the country's most beautiful beaches. The 2km (1.5 mile) long sandy Tofta beach is possibly at the top of this list. This is Gotland's second largest beach, stretching from Tofta in the south to Gnisvärds fishing hamlet in the north. It's a lovely site, with soft, near-white beaches gradually dipping into the typically frigid Baltic seas, and it's undoubtedly the most popular on the island.

During the summer, the beach is a hive of activity. Tofta Strand is a fantastic all-around beach with safe swimming for families and a variety of sports such as stand-up paddle boarding, kitesurfing, beach volleyball, and more. The southern end of the beach attracts a younger, more energetic audience, whilst the northern end is popular with families.

  3. Havang beach is located on Skne's east coast and is part of a seemingly unending stretch of excellent golden sand to the north of Kivik. This is a magnificent and wild location that is widely recognized as the nicest beach in sterlen. Beyond the shore, there is a lovely rural scene of meadows and trees, with low hills rising in the distance. The Backaleden and sterlenleden trails are part of this rolling countryside that is popular for walking.

Havangsdosen, a particularly spectacular Stone Age burial site overlooking the beach at Haväng. This comprises of a stone chamber with a giant cap stone on top and 16 large standing stones surrounding it. This site is really atmospheric if you visit on the correct day. This is a popular vacation location, with a variety of camp sites, guest homes, and hotels in the region. On the negative side, this means that it can get rather crowded during the summer, but the beach is long enough to absorb the crowds.

  4. Sandhammaren beach is known for having some of the greatest white sands in Skne, if not all of Sweden. The beach here, which is located at Sweden's farthest southerly point, is unsurprisingly wild. The backdrop here is an expanse of low sand dunes shaped by the wind flowing off the Baltic Sea, with very little evidence of human activity. In fact, behind the beach, in the pine forests, there is a nature reserve where you may view a variety of flora and fauna, including the occasional elk. This stretch of the Swedish coast is particularly dangerous, with strong currents. Not only does this mean that swimming should be done with caution, but the area is also known for shipwrecks.

The shifting sands and surging tides off Sandhammaren claimed several ships before a lighthouse was built in the 1860s. In addition, the shore is home to Sweden's first lifeboat station, which was established in 1892. During the summer, you can visit the lighthouse and enjoy the spectacular views from the top.

Sandhammaren is one of Skne's most popular beaches, despite its isolated position and wilderness vibe. During the summer, it will get crowded, but there is plenty of room to spread out. Parking can be difficult, but if you drive along the coast, you should be able to find a spot. A naturist-friendly area is located just north of the main beach in Hagestad.

  5. The beach at Knäbäckshusens Strand stretches for nearly four kilometers along the Baltic Sea coast of southern Sweden. The beach, also known as Rörums Strand, is made up of a fine, pale golden sand that is backed by a dense pine forest. This gives the beach a lovely, pure, and wild sense, which is only enhanced by the fact that it is so quiet. Knäbäckshusens Strand is without a doubt one of the best beaches in the Skne region of Sweden.

  6. Lomma is a tiny village located around 20 minutes north of Malmö. A huge harbour and marina may be found here, as well as a lovely, sandy beach. The beach at Lomma spans for several hundred meters down the coast. It is made up of magnificent fine white sand that flows behind it into low grassy dunes. The sea is frequently a vivid blue color, and the contrast with the sand conjures up visions of far-flung exotic locales.

In the summer, Lomma Norra Badplats, to give it its full name, is a favorite destination for families with young children. The water is shallow for a considerable distance out, making it quite safe for paddlers. This also helps to keep the water pleasantly heated - at least in the summer! You may walk out along the southern end of the harbour wall for a magnificent view of the beach. Along this stretch, you can also locate a wonderful peaceful location away from the people and out of the wind.

  7. Ribersborg in Malmö, in contrast to Skne's mainly rural beaches, is very much a city beach. Residents can easily access it because it is only three kilometers from the city center, and they throng here during the summer months. Ribersborg's beach has a park-like atmosphere to it, which is no coincidence given that Ribersborgsstranden began as a park. The shoreline was constructed as a recreational place in the nineteenth century, with vast lawns ideal for picnicking and walking pathways. In the years that followed, a number of bathing piers were built to make it easier for swimmers to enter the lake, even at low tide.

The northern pier, with its spectacular bathouse built in 1898, is the most remarkable of the ten piers. The bathouse, which was completely renovated in 2009 and now houses a cafe, restaurant, and suana, is located at the end of the pier. It also has a number of different-sized, enclosed pools that give safe bathing regardless of the weather. Ribersborg is a man-made beach, with sand imported in the mid-twentieth century. However, this is in line with the surrounding environment, which is mostly urban with a little industrial to the south.

Ribersborgsstranden is always busy during the summer holidays. It's a terrific family beach with a lot going on and plenty of things to do. Regular events, such as circus-style shows and activities like floating obstacle courses, are part of the summer programs. There are numerous food kiosks, as well as enough picnic and BBQ space on the grounds behind them.

  8. Sudersand Beach is located on the small island of Frö, which is located in the Baltic Sea, midway between Sweden and the Balkans, off the coast of Gotaland. A lengthy crescent of near-white sand spreads across a large bay on this beach. Low grassy dunes surround the shore, quickly giving way to a pine forest. Sudersand maintains the atmosphere of a magnificent natural beach while also providing lots of amenities; cafes, kiosks, ice cream stalls, and even a miniature golf course provide family fun.

This is a popular family vacation spot with a spacious campsite located close behind the beach. Despite the fact that Faro is only accessible by ferry, it is one of Sweden's most vibrant summer destinations. The beach is pristine, and the water is shallow for a long distance out, making it ideal for paddling. If Sudersand becomes too crowded for you, you can always go over to Norsta Aurar, which is nearby. You can very much count on having plenty of space to yourself here on the extreme tip of Faro. Furthermore, this beach is a naturist hangout.
