Do you like coffee? It's a joke that everybody enjoys coffee. except the small group who favors tea. And there's that even smaller subset who "don't do hot ... read more...

  1. The first indication that Antipodea is well-liked was the difficulties in the booking. This Australian-inspired café/brasserie is situated in Kew "Village", a green neighborhood close to the station with a few fine pubs, two nice cafés, some cute boutiques, and perhaps three restaurants. The idea behind this location, part of the Australian-owned Brew Cafe small franchise, was to inject a little bit of sunny Melbourne into this London neighborhood. It functions even while it is raining outside. Light and airy, with plants giving it a "conservatory" sense, the room has a distinct coziness from the raging fire. The open kitchen is mesmerizing and balletic. Diners are immediately at ease and disarmed because the staff is professional and laid back in an Australian manner.

The cuisine is dotted with Australian and Asian influences with some seasonal options. A colorful salad of pumpkin, pear, walnuts and gorgonzola served as an appetizer was simultaneously sweet, crunchy, and creamy. Pizzas, 45-day dry-aged steaks, and fascinating options like barramundi or whisky-cured pig ribeye are all available as main dishes. A gorgeous risotto with a strong flavor, plenty of mushrooms, pesto, and gorgonzola bits was served.

  2. Artisan is one of London's best cafés. Despite being on a busy west London crossroads, the view from this spacious corner room was rather pleasant, with plenty of sunshine and sky. The vista will ultimately be partially obscured by residential construction, but that doesn't mean you should avoid Artisan. This is a remarkably enjoyable spot to dine, drink, and pass the time. Children are quite welcome, and the customer appears to be entirely local, whether they are dining alone or in small groups of any age. Beans from Allpress are utilized to great success.

You wouldn't know you were in Stamford Brook rather than Allpress's headquarters in Shoreditch if you closed your eyes and sipped a properly crafted espresso. The area has a very inviting appearance and feels thanks to the huge windows on both sides, the high ceilings, and the comfortable furnishings (many homemade). The menu comprises of tasty sandwiches and appealing baked goods, with a focus on cakes. There may be one more branch, according to the owners (the first is in Putney), but this is it. Oh well. A local artist would be beneficial to any community.

  3. It's pretty much perfect, the Birdhouse. A calm color choice (grey with yellow accents), vintage furnishings, and cheery images on the long side wall make this place modest but aesthetically pleasing to look at. The staff always seems to include at least one of the two owners, who are both incredibly skilled yet socially apathetic. With their obvious excitement for coffee, catering, and clients, they create a stir in the area.

Down to infants and young children, you'll typically find a diverse audience. The warm banana bread, which regulars claim to be irresistible, is one of the bakery's best offerings. The same may be said with sandwiches. And the coffee? You'll enjoy this business if you enjoy espresso because it uses Climpson & Sons beans, which are like nirvana in a cup. The baristas take as much care with their equipment as they would with a Maserati, and that level of perfection encapsulates everything Birdhouse does.

  4. When it comes to this, Black Cab Coffee Co's new permanent café, there isn't a single converted taxi in sight, despite the company's success with its pop-up espresso bars. With sitting outside and views of the river, the interior is all sleek concrete, glass, and black surfaces.

Although there is a coffee roaster in the dining area that is producing beans, there are many other options on the menu. The perfect beverage was a glass of hot iced chai, which can also be had hot or with a shot of bourbon. Juices shake, and smoothies were also excellent. Try the creamy banana in the reviving green goddess to prevent it from tasting uncomfortably healthy. The eggs and tomatoes in the shakshuka for brunch were spiced with chili, giving it a scorching kick. The "large breakfast," which included bland toast and subpar beans, was less spectacular. Nevertheless, Black Cab Coffee Company has a lot to offer Vauxhall as it develops.

  5. The unofficial crown jewel of the Fulham Road is Boys'N'Berry. The Fulham hotspot offers both a nutritious and delicious meal and the ideal coffee shop ambiance, complete with the lovely sounds of laptops pounding, coffee steaming, and frequent discussion. Its mission is to produce food that "nourishes your stomach and feeds your spirit."

Warming porridge, homemade granola, pancakes, and various styles of poached eggs are all featured on the breakfast menu. There are also some intriguing variations on traditional toast; pick between the energizing mix of grilled banana, peanut butter, flax seed, and cacao nibs, or the sweeter combo of coconut nectar and winter berries. Their seasonal Boys'N'Berry espresso blend, always delivered with a double shot, deserves equal attention.

The restaurant, which is spread out across two levels, has plenty of seats, yet it always seems to be crowded with people looking for brunch. Prices are fair considering the location in West London; each breakfast option costs less than £10 and is of great quality and caliber. If you're thinking about going, keep in mind that waiting for a table on a weekend morning is inevitable, but the staff is unbelievably welcoming and makes you feel at home the moment you walk in.

  6. The delicious brunch menu at Farm Girl, the relaxed, Australian-inspired ambiance, and the mob of selfie-obsessed tourists and would-be Instagram models are all fresh, wholesome, and oh so gorgeous. A good example is the matcha lattes that were delivered with dried flowers and in colours of powder blue and baby pink.

The dish tasted as wholesome as it appeared. Consider the slow-cooked chicken sandwich, which was filling and nutritious, or the frosty, pleasingly tangy açai bowl. Surprisingly, the Liquid Gold latte—an "immune-system booster"—that included turmeric and astragalus was the outstanding item. It was among the nicest I've ever tried; it wasn't overly sweet and had a lasting milky finish. (The adorable French bulldog painted in cinnamon on the foam painted with a bright yellow color didn't hurt either.)However, because of the emphasis on health, most of the dishes weren't really appetizing, and all the extras (£2 for a poached egg, £2.50 for mushrooms, and £3 for approximately eight clusters of granola) drive up the price quickly.

  7. Highness Café & Tea Room is one of London's best cafes. You'll be pulled in by the window display of this quaint café and cake shop, where thick peanut butter brownies are tucked amongst iced blood orange cakes and plump sultana scones. If you're lucky, there may even be samplers available at the cash register. This restaurant has a worn-in, cozy atmosphere thanks to the hardwood floors and the mismatched set of wooden chairs and tables, which includes an old sewing machine table. Back behind the counter, chalkboards list the menu, which includes brunch, sandwiches, and jacket potatoes. Although there are a few popular window seats on the ground floor, for more comfort, take the spiral staircase up to the mezzanine floor.

The delicious sweet stuff kept the highs going. A big slice of pistachio and chocolate cake (£3.75) was served on exquisite china and had a somewhat molten consistency. It melted perfectly in the mouth. Warm, flaky, and soft, the $3 big sultana-studded scone was served with little (perhaps too tiny) pots of jam and clotted cream.

The welcoming staff, drinks, and pastries are the restaurant's highlights; an artichoke and avocado sandwich was adequate rather than outstanding, and the börek (spinach and feta wrapped in filo dough) lacked crispness. On a relaxing day, come here and work your way through the sweets.

  8. The news that a spin-off of Balham's renowned brunch destination M1lk was opening just down the Northern Line delighted fans. Whether it sounds corny or not, M1lk Teeth is a gem in the rough and is located in a run-down but developing section of Mitcham Road. It's a more sedate, mature version of the original; the type of place where gangster rap is played, but not at a volume that suggests "kids can fuck right off." In fact, a number of families were there with young children, and in a different area, a few hipsters were gathered at a communal table drinking flat whites while wearing headphones and using laptops. The friendly young Australian staff welcomed everyone with open arms.

It has lofty ceilings, loads of light, and a gloriously retro-cool aesthetic. Although the presence of dark exposed bricks may be a bit noticeable, there are also beige tiles, faux-marble tables, and an incomplete or partially started ceiling. Everybody attends breakfast. The Young Betty was essentially a hipster version of eggs benedict made with fantastic sourdough instead of the usual English muffin. It goes well with some dry-cured bacon pieces, smoked salmon, and - this is where it gets fascinating - buttery-soft smoked eel.

Cakes, drinks, and smoothies were all excellent. Try the Polly, a mango smoothie with a strong lemon verbena flavor, or a slice of the soft, fluffy banana bread with wattleseed-studded butter for a tasty treat. Although M1lk Teeth is the youngest member of the family, it has already been shown that it can compete with the older members.

  9. As any doughnut would know, for the past five years or more, this family-run bakery has been selling the most amazing and award-winning rye-based bakes at Borough Market and other locations throughout the capital. It even had a brief fling with a Westfield Stratford location, which has since reopened after closing. At Karaway, you may find a small selection of toasties, pastries, and cakes as well as a wide variety of baked bread to take home. Karaway has a small café area with only four tables outside the Waitrose in the Great Eastern Market retail center.

There are a ton of samples, but the kind, knowledgeable staff will help you navigate the flavors, including traditional ryes like the dark, dense Lithuanian Scalded, which has a delectable caraway aftertaste, as well as sourdoughs made entirely of rye and specialty ryes stuffed with dried fruits, nuts, and spices. The options may be overwhelming, but perhaps Karaway is here to stay this time so you can return and try them all.

  10. Lowry & Baker is a small neighborhood coffee shop that serves its devoted following excellent artisanal breakfasts and lunches despite having only a few wooden tables, a little open-air kitchen, and a parade of sweet goodies on the countertop. L&B's build-your-own-breakfast is a customer favorite for good reason: the artisan organic sourdough was crispy and chewy enough to require a steak knife to get through, and the toppings (you can choose up to three for £9.50), like mashed avocado with omega seeds and lemon and chilli or wild mushrooms with fresh herbs, are fragrant, fresh, and supremely comforting. All of the delicious crackle and snap of a crisp could be heard in the bacon strips.

Nearly as long as the food menu is the list of juices and hot beverages. Warming beverages, such as the pretty-in-pink Velvet Latte made with a zing of fresh ginger, beetroot, and organic almond milk, reeked of sanctimonious healthfulness while also being delightfully delectable and simple to consume. Expect a line if you go on a weekend, but it will be worthwhile.
