Most isekai have a very straightforward structure; the protagonist either dies or is called to a fantasy realm to become a superhero. Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions eschew many of these cliches instead of immersing the protagonists — and spectators — in a mysterious realm where many questions are raised, but few are addressed. Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions are perhaps one of the few isekai that goes unmentioned and causes us anguish. If you're looking for an isekai that's doing things in a new way and has an amazing cast and wonderful animation, you're going to adore Grimgar even more than we do.

Inuyashiki: Last Hero, from the creators of Gantz, is a series that received little notice upon its premiere in 2017. Inuyashiki is a heartwarming anime that will continually put your faith in humankind to the test and make you rethink what it means to live. Despite being primarily a science fiction series, Inuyashiki serves as a reminder to us all that one's view of life may vary significantly from individual to individual. 8. Kansai is a busy metropolis that exudes perfection, far from reality. Behind the scenes of this incredible futuristic metropolis lurks a menace in the shape of Akudama, violent and lethal outlaws. To make things worse, the Kansai government is concealing countless mysteries, which one young lady is about to discover for herself. After being mistakenly identified as an Akudama, a regular lady becomes one of the city's most sought-after dangers and must now withstand not only her new friends but also the realities of this ostensibly ideal metropolis.

Evil seems to be a straightforward term to use when referring to someone who has been declared a criminal. However, as you will shortly discover, evil is not a monochrome concept in the context of Akudama Drive. We enjoyed Akudama Drive's sci-fi action but also were engrossed in the various human dimensions it incorporates. If you like action-packed thrillers and are looking for a genuinely remarkable anime, you will adore Akudama Drive even more than we do.

As time passed, this once-legendary magic became more simplified, enabling most people to use it in daily life. Unfortunately, some people still cannot effectively wield Onmyoudou magic, as with Harutora Tsuchimikado. To compound problems, Harutora is tasked with securing Natsume, a strong girl who also happens to be a childhood friend. Tokyo Ravens is a rare anime that makes people raise their eyebrows and wonder what a Tokyo Raven is. Unfortunately, Tokyo Ravens did not get much attention or popularity upon its premiere in 2013, but that does not imply it was a bad anime. We adored the otherworldly combat and were equally taken aback by the story's conclusion. Tokyo Ravens is an incredible animation that deserves more exposure.

  10. Kimimaro Yoga discovered that surviving without money is a genuinely difficult challenge as a young uni student. Despite this, Yoga persists in attempting to live despite others around him benefitting from what seems to be divinely bestowed luck.

Yoga's life changes dramatically, though, when a mysterious stranger approaches and hands him a ticket that would enable him to earn money and live the way he wants. Regrettably, this requires visiting a parallel universe where individuals like Yoga are forced to wager their lives in bizarre conflicts. You will get wealth if you win. If you lose, your life will rapidly deteriorate and plunge into a pit that will shortly become hell.

Money is the source of all evil, and no anime better illustrates this than C: Control - The Money and Soul of Possibility. Despite its almost shounen-like appearance, C: Control has often wowed us with its examination of the rich vs. poor and greed vs. meek existence. We appreciate how C: Control puts such topics front and center while entertaining and thrilling, owing to incredible action sequences and a compelling plot. C: Control - The Money and Soul of Possibility is certainly worth a look, and maybe someday it will rise from its current obscurity!
