ID: Invaded
To combat crime more quickly and effectively, the Mizuhanome System was invented. It enabled officers to track down criminals using unusual wavelengths not visible to the naked eye. To utilize the technology, a particular person must enter the brain of a terrorist and use the realm inside to discern the offender's motivations, whereabouts, and likely next assault.
Then comes Akihito Narihisago, who jumps in with the Mizuhanome System as he takes on the persona of Sakaido, the "Brilliant Detective." Those who employ the Mizuhanome System may combat crime by using Sakaido's abilities… but at what cost?
While most mystery anime may be rather predictable, ID: INVADED shocked us with a novel concept that adds to the mystery's mystique. Just when you believe you've nailed the perp with Sakiado, you find that a killer's world is anything but easy. ID: INVADED is one of the most underrated crime-themed anime, and it deserves to be included on our list of the Top 10 Most Underappreciated Anime.
