18 Presents (2020)

18 Presents (Italian: 18 regali) is a 2020 Italian drama film directed and written by Francesco Amato, starring Vittoria Puccini, Benedetta Porcaroli, and Edoardo Leo. The story is based on a real Italian mother, Elisa Girotto, who planned and budgeted for her daughter Anna's birthdays for 17 years until her death in September 2017 from terminal breast cancer.

'18 Presents' is a science fiction drama in which a lady named Anna (Benedetta Porcaroli) is raised by her father after her mother died of breast cancer shortly after giving birth. Anna, like any other individual, stages her fair share of rebellions as she approaches maturity, with the goal of one day escaping her family. She is struck by a vehicle driven by her long-dead mother. Anna becomes aware that she has gone 21 years in the past. '18 Presents' is a heartwarming film about love, sadness, and catharsis that will remind you of 'Back to the Future' and 'The Lake House.'
