99 Homes (2014)
99 Homes is a 2014 American drama film directed by Ramin Bahrani and written by Bahrani and Amir Naderi. In the film, Andrew Garfield plays a destitute construction worker who unwillingly accepts a job with the nasty real-estate broker (Michael Shannon) who evicted him and his family from their house.
At the 71st Venice International Film Festival, the film competed for the Golden Lion. At the 2015 Deauville American Film Festival, it took home the Grand Prix. It was also shown in the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival's Special Presentations section. Broad Green Pictures released the film in a limited release on September 25, 2015.
