Aceh

Aceh, formally the Aceh Province, is Indonesia's westernmost province. It is located on Sumatra's northernmost tip, with Banda Aceh serving as its capital and major city. Aceh, which has been granted exceptional autonomy, is a religiously conservative enclave and the only Indonesian province that officially follows Sharia law. There are 10 indigenous ethnic groups in this region, with the Acehnese people accounting for roughly 80% to 90% of the population.
