Padang
Padang is the capital and largest city of West Sumatra, an Indonesian province. With a population of about 1.4 million people, the Padang metropolitan region is Sumatra's third most populated. Since the pre-colonial era, the city had been a trading center for pepper and gold. The Dutch first established contact with the city in the mid-17th century, eventually erecting a fortification and seizing power from the Pagaruyung Kingdom.
Padang is well-known for its Minangkabau culture and cuisine, as well as beautiful sunset beaches. It is a popular stopover for surfers heading to the Batu Islands and the Mentawai Islands, as well as visitors visiting the West Sumatran highlands. Bungus Bay, located south of Padang, is ideal for swimming and yachting. Sikuai Island and Padang Island are two offshore islands near Bungus. The Anai River is also one of the valley's most popular tourist attractions. You will be able to participate in all of the forest activities, such as crossing streams, exploring the ecology, and conquering the high waterfall. Spend at least two days in the valley to take part in a variety of fun activities!
