Jakarta

Jakarta, formally the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, is Indonesia's capital and largest city. Jakarta is the largest city in Southeast Asia and the diplomatic headquarters of ASEAN. It is located on the northwest coast of Java, the world's most populous island. On the human development index, Jakarta ranks top among Indonesian provinces. Most visitors associate Jakarta with stern big skyscrapers, traffic jams, and lively nightlife. However, just a few kilometers offshore are hundreds of little, gorgeous islands.

Tourists have a superb choice of "Kepulauan Seribu," which means "a thousand islands." Tidung Island, Bidadari Island, Pramuka Island, and Harapan Island are also popular tourist sites. The majority of the island is home to intriguing corals and other oceanic creatures, so snorkeling or diving is a must-do activity. Monas is both a symbol of Jakarta and an expression of Indonesian patriotism. Monument Park is a great place for families, friends, and coworkers to go around and talk. In addition, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is an Indonesian cultural historical park that combines family entertainment and tourism. The park is regarded as a "summary," or "microcosm," of Indonesian culture.
