Armenian State University of Economics
A state-owned economics institution in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE) is known by its Armenian name, which means "Armenian State University of Economics." The Yerevan State University's Faculty of Economics was established in 1930 as part of the university's overall structure. It was established as a separate organization in 1975, initially known as the Yerevan Institute of National Economy, and afterwards known as the Yerevan State University of Economics.
In 1995, the university opened a new building at Nalbandyan 128 to welcome students and faculty for the new academic year. The Zeitun District is home to only one of the departments. Armenian State University of Economics was established in 2006 as a state non-commercial organization. It was previously known as Armenian State University of Economics.
The Armenian State University of Economics has over 30.000 alumni that have graduated from it. Six university departments have a total of 31 chairs, which is distributed among them (21 professional and 10 non-professional). Armenia has a Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences, 35 Doctors of Sciences, Professors, 141 Doctors, Associate Professors, 87 Assistant Professors, 103 lecturers, and more than 60 specialists who work part-time in the academy's departments. With 7000 students and 18 disciplines and many specializations, the university offers a diverse student body.
Since 2005, the university has offered full-time bachelor's degrees, as well as part-time degrees since 2004. Since 2009, the university has offered full-time master's degrees, as well as part-time degrees. The credit system is used to implement both full-time and part-time degree courses. In addition, the university offered postgraduate programs (both part-time and full-time). Beginning with the 2010-2011 academic year, post-graduate studies have also been granted credit under the credit system.
