Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences
The fifth famous university in Top 10 Best Universities in Armenia that Toplist would like to introduce to you is Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences. The Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences, which has been in operation since 1935 in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, is a public university. Since 1962, it has been known as Valery Bryusov Park, after the Russian poet and historian Valery Bryusov. Russian, English, French, German, and a variety of other languages are taught at the university. Graduates also study practical psychology, historical studies, political science, area studies, and other humanities at the university. The university is situated at the crossroads of Tumanyan and Moscow streets in the heart of Yerevan's historic district.
As of 2017, Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences has three faculties in addition to the college of studies, which includes Faculty of Translation and Intercultural Communication, Faculty of Russian and Foreign Languages and International Communications and Faculty of Foreign Languages.
The student council, which was established in 1996, is the vehicle through which university students exercise self-government. The council's mission is to actively participate in university life and to aid in the promotion of discussion and settlement of urgent issues in the academic process as well as in the social life of students and other members of the community.
The council works in close collaboration with the Student Councils of many universities in Armenia and around the world. Graduation ceremonies, the publication of the "Polyglot-New" newspaper, round table talks, intellectual games, conferences, workshops, and seminars, among other things, are all organized by the council. The students volunteer their time with a variety of organizations and work closely with the university's career center to achieve their goals. The students make regular visits to orphanages across Yerevan and the surrounding areas, as well as organize a variety of sporting, scientific, and cultural events.
