Autonomous University of Centro América
In compliance with Costa Rican law, Autonomous University of Centro América opened its doors to students in 1976 as a non-profit foundation. It was the country's very first private university. The University contains 4 regional offices in Guápiles, Ciudad Nelly, Nicoya, and San Ramón, as well as the Postgraduate Teaching and Research Institute (IEPI), which offers a variety of specialties, master's degrees, and doctorates.
UACA was Costa Rica's first private university, established in 1976. It is one of the greatest universities in the country because of its lengthy history and academic reputation. It also has one of the nicest campuses in the world with its headquarters in Cipreses, J. Guillermo Malavassi V. The Autonomous University of Central America (UACA), Costa Rica's first private university, dressed up to commemorate its 45th anniversary at its central campus in Cipreses de Curridabat. Its goal is to become Costa Rica's best university in terms of academics, research, and social impact.
