Latin University of Costa Rica
With over 16,000 students participating in undergraduate and graduate programs in Business, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences, the Latin University of Costa Rica, or ULatina, is Costa Rica's largest private university. The National Council of Higher Education has granted university accreditation. The university has regional offices in seven provinces and two main campuses in Heredia and San Pedro, San José.
Campus San Pedro (former Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica) is located in San Pedro, San José, in the central region of private and public universities; and Campus Heredia (previously Universidad Interamericana de Costa Rica) is located in Heredia.
Grecia, Caas, Santa Cruz, Guápiles, Pérez Zeledón, and Ciudad Neily are the university's six regional offices in Costa Rica. ULatina and Arizona State University forged a relationship in October 2020, resulting in ULatina/ASU Dual Degrees. Other parts of this partnership include online and on-campus options, English implementation in all programs, access to ASU faculty students and faculty overseas, and much more.
Around 19,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students attend Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. Before entering undergraduate courses, students must have earned a High School Diploma by completing the MEP's national tests or its equivalent. (There is no entrance examination at the Latin University of Costa Rica.) The university also offers bachelor's, licentiate's, master's, and doctorate degrees.
