Banana Island
Banana Island is an artificial island that is home to some of Nigeria's wealthiest citizens and expats. It is named after its slightly curved shape. Because of the island's rich inhabitants, it is Nigeria's version of Tribeca and Shibuya in New York City and Tokyo, respectively. Ocean Parade Towers, a series of 14 towers with panoramic views of the lagoon in front of it, is one of numerous opulent residential complexes on Banana Island. Some of the country's largest firms have also established headquarters on the island.
Banana Island is a man-made island with a curving shape similar to that of a banana. It's in the Lagos Lagoon, and it's connected to Ikoyi Island via a special road that connects to the current road network near Parkview Estate. The Island is a master-planned mixed-use complex with designated sections for residential, commercial, and recreational uses which make it one of the most beautiful islands in Nigeria. A major piazza, a clubhouse, a primary and secondary school, a fire and police station, and a medical center are all planned by the developers. They're also in talks to develop a five-star hotel on the island, as well as a number of smaller Guest Houses.
