Victoria Island
By the Lagos Lagoon, Victoria Island (VI) contains a former island of the same name that borders Lagos Island, Ikoyi, and the Lekki Peninsula. It is the Nigerian state of Lagos's principal business and financial center. Victoria Island is one of Lagos' most opulent and wealthy neighborhoods. The Eti-Osa Local Government Area include both the town and the island (LGA). A substantial portion of the island was once under the control of the Lagos Oniru chieftaincy family, with tenants living on the land.
Between the Lekki Peninsula and the Atlantic Ocean is Victoria Island, a large financial area. In fact, it is currently regarded as the financial core of Lagos's capital city. The island is home to the majority of Lagos' rich population, and tourists flock to the island for its world-class hotels, amazing restaurants, shopping malls, nightclubs, pubs, theaters, and other entertainment venues.
