Barracuda Lake
One of the most distinctive diving experiences in the world may be had at Barracuda Lake , which is located on the north side of Coron Island in the Philippines. Locals sporadically refer to this lake as Luluyuan Lake, although real barracudas and other fauna don't like to hang out in its pure blue waters, which are buried amid magnificent rocky structures. Divers can instead encounter a thermocline and halocline that are unique to no other place.
It presents a spectacular scene that draws tourists with its crystal-clear blue water set against commanding karst cliffs. Visitors must cross a suspended wooden boardwalk to get to the lake's edge at Luluyuan Lake, as it is known locally.
Despite the fact that there are few reports of the species, the lake is named after a barracuda skeleton. Instead, divers are searching for a thermocline—a sudden change in water temperature between an upper and lower gradient. Starting at 28 degrees Celsius, the lake's surface temperature rapidly decreases to 38 degrees when one reaches a height of 14 meters. It is also a halocline lake, meaning that near the bottom, the water transforms from freshwater to saltwater.
