Kayangan Lake
In Coron, there is a freshwater lake called Kayangan Lake that is extremely clear and has underwater caverns and rock formations. For fairly obvious reasons, it's a popular location for photographers, and it's reputed to be the cleanest lake in the entire Philippines. Even people who cannot swim can admire the unspoiled rock formations from vantage points surrounding the lake because the water is frequently so clear that you can see down to a depth of 10 meters.
In addition to hiking the vantage peak for expansive views of the region, you may swim, snorkel, and dive in Kayangan Lake. A cave at the summit of the mountain is also accessible to intrepid hikers with a tour guide, though entry may not be permitted.
Because there are some protruding jagged rocks under the water, swimmers who want to dive into the lake should ask guides where the safest diving sites are. It's also important to keep in mind that the water is so fresh that you won't float as readily as you would in the ocean. Swim beneath its crystal clear water to get a distinct perspective of the limestone cliffs, or go inside a neighboring cave's tiny entrance to see a different angle of the lake. To view the aquatic life underwater, bring snorkeling equipment. If you'd prefer not to swim, you can still view some of it from the surface because the water is so clear.
